Jessica A. Crabbe is a partner with Scott & Whitehead and is an experienced litigator and trial attorney with a focus on employer defense and strategy in federal and state litigation, arbitration, and administrative proceedings for nearly 15 years. Ms. Crabbe has broad experience which includes wage and hour litigation, class actions, PAGA claims, misclassification, wrongful termination, breach of contract, unfair business practices, sexual harassment, and discrimination cases, and has led her clients to successful conclusions. Ms. Crabbe has consistently demonstrated strengths in all aspects of litigation management and resolution and is highly skilled in advising and counseling clients facing workplace challenges with an emphasis on prevention.


Ms. Crabbe also reviews and prepares various employment agreements, and works with employers to create and update employee handbooks to memorialize policies and procedures and to ensure employers stay current with new and changing laws.


Representative Matters 


  • Prevailing party in a $15 million breach of contract dispute in the Central District of California.
  • Defended a $100 million Trademark Infringement claim in the Northern District of California and concurrent Breach of Contract and Misappropriation of Trade Secrets claim in Santa Clara County Superior Court.
  • Obtained a total defense verdict in a jury trial alleging pregnancy and sex discrimination, wrongful termination in violation of public policy and punitive damages on behalf of a national restaurant chain.
  • Obtained a defense verdict in an arbitration proceeding alleging disability discrimination, harassment, retaliation, failure to accommodate, failure to engage in the interactive process, and wrongful termination in violation of public policy on behalf of a manufacturer company and was awarded $20,000 in monetary sanctions against employee’s counsel of record.
  • Successfully prevailed in a misclassification action in the Southern District of California related to wage and hour and ERISA claims.
  • Obtained a defense verdict in a mass wage and hour arbitration on behalf of an employer in the mortgage and loan industry.
